Scouts, Sisters & Brothers—We Need Your Crew at the Lowell Folk Festival!
The Lowell Folk Festival is back July 25–27, 2025, and we’re calling on local service groups, Scout troops, fraternities, sororities, and company teams to be part of the team that makes it all happen—before, during, and after the big weekend.
Every summer, thousands gather in downtown Lowell to celebrate folk music, traditional arts, and global cuisine at one of the country’s longest-running free folk festivals. What keeps it running smoothly year after year? Volunteers. Dozens of them. Often moving tables, hoisting tents, directing crowds, delivering supplies, and yes—helping break it all back down when the last song fades out.
If you're part of a Scout troop, a fraternity or sorority, a union local, a corporate team, or a community service group, this is your chance to roll deep, give back, and get a rare behind-the-scenes view of one of New England’s most cherished summer events.
We especially need help with:
-
Setup before the festival (week of July 21)
-
Breakdown and clean-up after the festival (July 28–30)
Come for the service, stay for the music, food, and community. Whether you’ve volunteered before or you’re new to the festival, we’d love to have your team on board.
Sign up today and be part of the crew that makes it all possible.
