Team Cuisine x Team Tunes T-Shirts

Dear Esteemed Festival Supporters,

I trust this letter finds you well and filled with the warmth of the holiday season. My name is Lee Viliesis, the new Director of the Lowell Folk Festival and it brings me immense joy to connect with you during this festive time. Since joining this remarkable organization in April, I have been deeply moved by the community's enthusiasm for our festival.

In spite of a damp Saturday, this year's festival emerged as a resounding success. Featuring eighteen performance groups hailing from diverse corners of the globe and twenty-two global community food groups, the Lowell Folk Festival stood out as the most distinctive experience of the year.

We were especially proud for the successful reinstatement of our recycling initiative. Thanks to your steadfast support, we were able to recycle approximately 15,000 containers annually, and compost an impressive 32,000 festival meals, contributing to our collective commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, emphasizing our dedication to reducing our ecological footprint.

As we approach the year-end, it is crucial to acknowledge that the post-pandemic landscape continues to present uncertainties that demand our adaptability and resilience. Yet, it is in these moments that the strength of our community shines brightest.

The Lowell Folk Festival is more than an event – it is a reflection of the unity that defines Lowell. Your generosity is the backbone of our success, and we want to emphasize that the festival primarily relies on the support of our community. Your donations play a pivotal role in preserving the vibrancy of this cultural celebration, ensuring accessibility for all.

With the season of giving upon us, please join us in supporting the Lowell Folk Festival with a gift of $100 today.Your support empowers us to maintain the festival's excellence and continue fostering unity within our diverse community.

On a lighter note, I want to remind all of you that the final week of our limited edition t-shirt competition between "Team Cuisine" and "Team Tunes" is next week. This friendly rivalry has been a playful touch to our fundraising efforts. Take this time before Christmas to proudly represent your preferred team while supporting the festival.

In closing, I express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support. Together, we can ensure that the Lowell Folk Festival remains a cultural beacon, embodying the rich tapestry of our community. Wishing you a joyous holiday season and looking forward to welcoming the upcoming year with your continued support.

Gratefully,
Lee Viliesis
