Grateful for You, Grateful for Our Community—Happy Thanksgiving from the Lowell Folk Festival 🍂

Dear Festival Folk,

As we reflect on this season of gratitude, all of us at the Lowell Folk Festival want to take a moment to say thank you—to you, our festival-goers, our volunteers, our supporters, and our incredible community. It’s your passion and commitment that make this festival such a special and meaningful celebration year after year.

We also want to give a special shout out to the Lowell Litter Krewe, whose tireless work behind the scenes helps ensure that our festival and our city stay beautiful and sustainable. This year alone, their volunteers made a tremendous impact at the festival by collecting:
  • 225 pounds of aluminum
  • 250 pounds of plastic
  • 8,000 pounds of compost
But their work extends far beyond festival weekend. The Lowell Litter Krewe is a driving force behind keeping our city clean and vibrant all year long. In 2023, they organized 39 volunteer events, removing an incredible 60,200 pounds of trash and donating over 3,000 volunteer hours to beautifying our community. Their commitment to the environment and the city of Lowell is inspiring, and we are so grateful for all they do.

As we give thanks this season, we invite you to reflect on the power of community and the difference we can make together. If you’re able, we encourage you to show your support for the work that helps our festival and community flourish:

Donate to the Lowell Litter Krewe HERE to help them continue their mission of creating a cleaner, more beautiful Lowell.

Support the Lowell Folk Festival HERE to help keep our festival free and accessible for all. Your donation goes directly to preserving the spirit of music, culture, and community that makes our festival so special.

From all of us at the Lowell Folk Festival, we want to thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Whether through your attendance, your volunteer efforts, or your donations, you help keep the festival alive, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Wishing you and your loved ones a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving.

With heartfelt appreciation,
Lee Viliesis
