We missed making you your flower crowns to rock all weekend, the delicious cocktails from our favorite local hotspots like @thirstyfirstlowell and @thekeep_lowell, and of course my favorite @worthenhousecafe stage (among sooooo many other spots and things too)!!! This Saturday, July 25th at 6:30pm, @lowellfolkfest's Virtual Celebration will present an amazing array of traditional music, including both new and archival concert footage of Lowell Folk Festival artists, available to stream this weekend only! Be sure to check out the 2019 performance by rockabilly guitar phenom Albert Lee!

British-born, Malibu-based guitarist Albert Lee gained acclaim in the 1960s as one of the UK’s top R&B players, and since the 1970s has been one of the top rockabilly guitarists in the world. In England, Lee is a household name, and in Nashville and Los Angeles, he’s long been among the most in-demand session guitarists. Nicknamed “Mr. Telecaster,” he is noted for his fingerstyle and hybrid picking technique, lightning speed, and melodic sensibilities. Over the years, he’s worked with Jerry Lee Lewis, the Everly Brothers, Joe Cocker, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, Bo Diddley, and Eric Clapton, to name just a few. Lee has received many awards, including a Grammy, and was named Best Country Guitarist five consecutive times by Guitar Player magazine.
