This July will be the 30th Anniversary of the Lowell Folk Festival.  The Producing Partners of the festival are proud to be the host of the largest free folk festival in the country! You can make a real difference supporting this great tradition.

The Longest Running Free Folk Festival in the Country For 3 days, Lowell is home to traditional music, street parades, dance parties, craft demonstrations and ethnic foods.  In the past years more than 600 different performing groups have graced the stages throughout the downtown and the city has welcomed more than 2.5 million visitors during the week-end long free festival.

Your Support Can Make A Difference Although the Lowell Folk Festival is admission free the week-end costs almost $1,000,000 to host.  We are fortunate to have some very generous sponsors, Friends of the Festival, in-kind services from some businesses and support from Producing Partners.  This year, due to the economy and cuts in marketing budgets, additional funding is extremely necessary to have a festival Lowell can be proud of and to keep the Festival FREE!

Attend the Folk Festival Fundraiser on Monday, June 20th! The Trustees and Board of Directors of the Lowell Festival Foundation invite you to support this year’s Lowell Folk Festival!
